About me
Marie Burge is a founder, current member, and staff of Cooper Institute and the PEI Working Group for a Livable Income. Marie has spent over 50 years working with others for systemic change locally and globally, for the honouring of collective human and planet rights. She concentrates on the elimination of poverty, and also for the eradication of excessive concentration of wealth. Besides her advocacy for Basic Income Guarantee, she is involved in work with the Coalition for the Protection of PEI Lands, gender-based violence prevention, and Islanders for Proportional Representation.
